My passion for people.

My previous corporate career in the talent space allows me to bring a rainbow of skills to my current passions.

Katie Mantwa George

I spent 15 years building, consolidating and leading high performing Early Career teams.

I did, and still do, lead with Empathy and Compassion.

My passion for early career strategy remains. I still speak on a small number of wonderful panels and at events as well as being one of the founding Advisory Board members for Bright Network.

I have worked for notable organisations across multiple industries such as Amazon, Amazon Web Services, Barclays, Credit Suisse, Rothschild and AIG. My work included launching, building and leading teams spanning across up to 12 countries at a time. I traveled across the globe sourcing and hiring talent including the UK, India, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Poland and South Africa to name a few.

I focused on long-term programmatic talent acquisition solutions to address shortage in talent, lack of relevant skill set, and lack of diversity in the pipeline. This included both early (intern, grad, apprentice) and experienced (returners, military) talent solutions. My focus was on innovative solutions and thinking ahead, encouraging business functions to think differently about their hiring practices.

My accolades include numerous published articles, a front cover feature for Recruiter Magazine as well as recognition as one of the EMPower top 50 Future Ethnic Minority Leaders.

Some of my accolades and published articles can be found at the bottom of this page.

With my expansive corporate experience and unique personal perspectives incorporated, I created spaces for leaders to explore new ways of thinking in a progressive and non-judgmental environment.

My corporate career paved the way to incredible opportunities, in environments where I made life long friends and connections. It will always form a part of who I am today.

What People Say About Me

“Katie is a one in a million where you can say in all honestly that engaging with her is a true pleasure and privilege. Her positivity and “can do” attitude is utterly inspiring, and a conversation with Katie always leaves you re-energized and ready to take on the world. Katie is ultimately a visionary who inspires and makes you feel that anything is possible, and I am honoured that our lives crossed paths!”

— Jenni Jones, AWS

“I had the pleasure and privilege to collaborate with Katie and her team at Amazon when I was growing the AWS Cloud Support team in EMEA. To meet the extreme hiring needs that we had, we needed to tap into the huge potential that graduates offered for us. She is an enabler, who strives to understand the business need, and then creates a sustainable and impactful solution.”

— Declan Ivory, Amazon, AWS

“I have worked with Katie in many different capacities. As an Early Careers partner Katie was always the first to try new innovations and be bold in an industry that is often slow moving and cautious. Katie supported as one of our founding clients for our first Diversity & Inclusion Conferences in 2017 and provided hundreds of students with insightful and authentic advice. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with her on multiple projects to support young people and also to raise awareness of topical issues relating to Inclusion and Belonging in the workplace. Katie has been my go to and regular supporter of Bright Network’s Illuminate community of now 1000+ HR professionals, delivering talks and sharing her experiences and guidance with others. I look forward and hope to work with Katie throughout my career.”

— Anu Manthri - Bright Network

“Katie is natural born leader. When I worked with her, I experience 4 different sides. Her contagious personality; she is the epitome of joy and deeply rooted in the good she has to share with the world.

She is an optimist and has the ability to solve problems and anticipate issues with a calm, positive and graceful attitude.

Katie is a visionary who is highly organised, plans every detail to the finish line and words hard and smart. Lastly, she is an activist who at the core is driven by equality, inclusion and liberation for all.”
